Mr. Ric Sahakian has had a passion for cars ever since he was a child growing up overseas. Ric was drawn to the automotive world as he enjoyed car design.

He started working at Mobil Gas station in Duarte, CA at the young age of 15, where he started from performing quick-lube bay scheduled maintenance services. It was rapid from there where he developed the skills to get into more complex work. In June, 1987 he graduated from Bonita High School in La Verne, CA and worked full time at Mobil gas station in Duarte, CA while attending junior college. Ric attended Citrus Community College in Glendora, CA. That is where he earned an Associate's Degree in Automotive Technology. He later transferred to California State University of Los Angeles to further develop and better understand design and function of vehicles. He earned a Bachelor's of Science in Industrial Engineering with an emphasis on automation and engine design.

While attending Cal State Los Angeles, Ric was an instrumental member of a Solar Eagle Team where a group of students built and raced solar powered cars. Shortly after Ric felt the need to go back to school to earn his MBA in management and operations from University of La Verne, CA. Throughout his college years Ric worked in a variety of automotive related jobs which led him into management roles.

In 1994, Ric began working as a lead technician at Montgomery Ward, but soon after he was given a management role when he moved to another major automotive retailer. Within a few years, he was recruited by another automotive retailer in South Orange County to help manage a group of locations. After 5 years, he made yet another move to another national automotive retailer in 2002 were he started as a protege and within 6 months he was assigned a role as store manager. Ric outperformed expectations, which led him to even bigger challenges. As Ric helped turn around other locations he was promoted to Assistant District manager in 2004. Ric worked in a couple different districts and was instrumental in teaching, mentoring and developing future talent while sustaining and growing the business. He was awarded the President's Award for being one of the best ADM's and was awarded two times ADM of the year.

In 2009, Ric was promoted to Southern California Regional operations/ finance manager position. His responsibilities included overseeing over 100 locations and helping sustain growth while developing talent. And in 2011, Ric was promoted to be the position of Assistant Controller position in charge of 2200 automotive retail locations where he worked with executive management in developing and implementing in store operational improvements. He was instrumental in the development and implementation of key company programs such as SAP/OTC, JDA.

In 2013, Ric decided to return to California where he took the Western Zone Controller position overseeing 300 locations in 10 states. In March, 2015 he decided to move on to another automotive retailer to assume the position of Vice President of Sales and customer service. He is currently helping develop best in class practices while sustaining growth in the market place.

Ric enjoys spending time with the family, motor sports and restoring cars especially race cars. His goal is to someday tour the world with his family.
